Introduction. Petrof is a Czech piano builder with a long and distinguished history and has become once again a very well respected premuim piano builder. It was founded in 1864 in Hradec Kralove, Bohemia by Antonin Petrof. They were very successful and also exported throughout the world. In 1948 the company entered a dark period under nationalization, but returned to family ownership in 1991. They are now one of the largest producers of pianos in Europe.
The Piano. The piano here is a compact model designed to appeal to starter through to early advanced pianists. They are well built instruments, very robust and long lasting making them an ideal family piano in the home. I have to confess having a soft spot for Petrof pianos. When touring as a young musician, many of the pianos I played were Petrofs of all ages and all of them were interesting and colouful pianos which were good to play. This piano here reminds me of all these experiences. It is in good condition, with a rich bass, producing a clear medium tone from its medium light action.
This piano stands at 107cm tall, 143cm long and 55cm deep.
Purchase Options. We have this piano for sale at £1900. This price includes delivery, an adjustable stool, first tuning and a 3 year warranty. It is possible to spread payments over time, all interest free. Give us a call to discuss which option would work best for you.
Customers can also rent this piano on a 6-month scheme which carries the option of purchase at the end of the term. There is a monthly rental fee of £70 or if you prefer, you can pay a one-off fee of £420. The balance can then be paid over an agreed period period of time.
This scheme is a great way to out try having a piano in your home. If you decide that piano playing isn’t for you, we will simply collect the piano and no additional chargeill be made.
Accessories. We have a collection of accessories which we hope will enhance your piano playing experience. There are caster cups which offer protection to your floors, a carpet to protect your piano from underfloor heating. We also offer lamps, polishes and cloths.
