Introduction. Steinway are of course known as being THE premium piano brand. Over 90% of the world’s very best pianists use them for their performances. Steinway started to diversify their range in 1992 by introducing the world to Boston pianos which were built by Kawai. The Essex line of pianos began in 2001. From 2006 production moved to Pearl River in China who are the world’s largest piano builder. Essex pianos do feel a cut above most pianos at similar price points.
The Piano. This Essex 111 piano we have here was built in 2012 and is wonderful. It is compact but has the feel and sound of a piano that is much more mature. It is a versatile well rounded performer which would be an ideal piano for pianists who are just beginning their piano playing journey right through to those who are already accomplished pianists. The quality of this instrument is excellent and it has a medium bright tone and smooth easy to use action.
Steinway is very much the premium of piano builders and in the Essex line of pianos they have created an instrument that is a more afforable. In 2006 production began by Pearl River in China and we gather, have relocated their technical director to oversee production. They must have belief in their product because have placed ‘Designed by Steinway’ very prominently on the front of the piano as well as inside. This handsome piano is a good quality instrument with the famous piano black high gloss finish. This piano also benefits from having 88 keys, 3 pedals and brass fittings.
This piano stands at 111cm tall, 156cm long and 65cm deep and was built in 2012. It is in excellent condition with a smooth action and an even medium/warm tone throughout the range.
Purchase Options. We have this piano for sale at £4700. This price includes delivery, an adjustable stool, first tuning and a 5 year warranty. It is possible to spread payments over time, all interest free. Give us a call to discuss which option would work best for you.
Customers can also rent this piano on a 6-month scheme which carries the option of purchase at the end of the term. There is a monthly rental fee of £155 or if you prefer, you can pay a one-off fee of £930. The balance of £3770 is to be paid 6 months later. This balance can then be paid over an agreed period.
This scheme is a great way to out try having a piano in your home. If you decide that piano playing isn’t for you, we will simply collect the piano and no additional charge will be made.
