As I am sure you are aware, Kawai is a smaller and slightly less well known of the two famous Japanese piano builders. We are all aware of the excellent Yamaha company but sadly it does overshadow the superb piano builder, Kawai. However this disadvantage for Kawai as a company is actually an advantage for those seeking a very good used piano. Their used instruments are significantly cheaper than similar Yamaha pianos of the same year.
There surely must be a catch. Nope, not at all. We have come across many customers who very much prefer a Kawai piano over a Yamaha product. It mostly comes down to sound. Yamaha are famous for a rich bass and a pretty bright treble which many pianists find jarring. Kawai arguably have a warmer more even tone across keyboard range. The feel of a Yamaha is smooth and relatively light. Our Kawai we have here in stock is the OP25 which does boast a beautiful feel through the keys. It is relatively light and easy to use but also manages to have enough resistance and feel. This OP25 is really very good, well built, feels good to the touch, lovely sound and keeps the tradition look as well. In terms of size, it is very similar to the Yamaha U1.
The Kawai OP25 piano you see here was built in Japan in 1988. It is in really superb condition, lovely casework and mechanically all works as it should. Pianists from complete beginners to very accomplished musicians will feel very much at home on this piano. We are sure that this piano will keep every member of the family happy!
We are offering this piano for sale at £2900 which includes free local delivery to a ground floor room, free stool, free first tuning and a 5 year warranty.
Have a look at our caster cups. Pianos are heavy objects and our plastic and wooden cups offer protection to your floors. We are selling these for £20 and £25 for a set of 4 cups.
