Over the last few years we have been working hard to offer good pianos for rental. This has helped many people have a piano who wouldn’t have otherwise been able to have a real piano in their home.
Pianos being complicated tools are expensive and that can be off putting. Renting a piano is a very cost effective way to have a decent piano in your home. We have often come across people who have a strong desire to own a piano but cannot afford such a large commitment. Another scenario we have come across is people who have bought a ‘bargain antique’ piano or a cheap piano from their local paper only to find that it doesn’t work properly. These pianos inevitably become expensive from trying to keep things working, from fixing sticking notes or trying to keep it in tune. The distractions these problems bring inevitably serve to put children off from playing and sadly and understandably they just give up.
The main advantage of hiring a piano over outright purchase is cost, buying a piano just to see if your child is interested in playing piano is an expensive experiment. Hiring a good piano will serve as an incentive to practice because it feels and sounds good to play. When piano lessons and practice has been established and it is clear that your child is making progress and enjoys playing, then that may be the time to purchase your piano.
Our Piano Hire scheme is very flexible and we want to offer the best advice we can and help as much as possible.
HERE’S THE DEAL
We want to keep it as simple as possible.
CONTRACT. The contract is initially 6 months. At the end of the contract you have 3 choices.
- Keep renting the piano at the same monthly cost.
- Return the piano.
- Purchase the piano. All of the rental payments and the delivery charge comes off the price of the piano, it is just a matter of paying the balance. The maximum rebate is 6 months.
- OK, I did say 3 choices and that is true. However at Pianolobby we are flexible and are open to other suggestions, if at the end of 6 months you have another idea as to what you would like to do that we hadn’t previously considered, we are willing to listen!
WHAT DO YOU GET WITH THE PIANO?
